Elements has assembled an experienced management team members of which were all previously with Aspen Education Group/CRC Health Group, and other investee companies of  Elements’ institutional partners. These team members include:

David Sack, MD, President and CEO
Board Certified Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine with extensive operational experience.  Dr. Sack previously served as President of College Health IPA, now the largest behavioral health group in California, SVP Community Programs Aspen Education Group, a startup he grew to > $20M, Senior VP Clinical Research, Comprehensive Neuroscience, Inc , a CNS focused SMO, where he grew his division from $5M to $30M.  Visit DrDavidSack.com to view media reel and learn more about Dr. Sack.

Rob Mahan, Chief Financial Officer
Joined Subacute in April 2008 with over 13 years of financial work experience.  Rob most recently served as VP of Finance for DaVita, the second largest dialysis provider in the U.S. with over $5.5B in annual revenue, supporting 5 different start-up businesses.  While at DaVita, he also negotiated vendor contracts with up to $350 million in annual spend, drove the financial analysis for a billion dollar debt refinancing, led the organic growth team to a six fold increase in production capacity in 3 years and managed the 900 employee billing and collections team through an integration. Keith Arnold, VP Operations
Until late August 2008, Keith served as Executive Director of Sierra Tucson where, since he joined in 1995 as Director of Marketing, he advanced through a number of increasingly more responsible positions. Under his leadership, Sierra Tucson expanded four fold and gained recognition as being the most successful Hospitals of its kind in the country. He is nationally and internationally recognized as a leader in the Addictions/Behavioral healthcare field.  Prior to joining Sierra Tucson, Keith was Director of Client Services for an international management consulting firm for over seven years.

Vera Appleyard, VP Internet Marketing
After eight years as the head of Aspen Education Group’s Internet Marketing efforts, Vera was promoted to Senior Director of Internet Marketing for CRC Health Group in 2008.  She joined Elements in March 2009. She is a published author and produced screenwriter. Her experience as a professional writer fuels her highly effective, content-centered Internet strategies. She has a BA from Columbia University and an MFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Elissa Weisberger-Cohen, VP Human Resources
Elissa served as the VP of Administration of Promises Treatment Centers for four years. During her tenure at Promises she oversaw the Human Resources, Accounting, and Administrative departments.  In June 2008, she transitioned into the position of VP of Human Resources for Elements Behavioral Health. Elissa has an extensive background in the Human Resources Arena. She ran her own consulting firm and has worked in the legal, real estate development, and employment industries.

David Buckley, VP Finance
David joined  Elements in March of 2008 with 22 years of financial work experience. He most recently served as VP of Finance for Long Term Care Group, the nation’s leading provider of outsourced services to the long term care insurance industry. He was responsible for managing and directing the financial functions while facilitating tremendous growth, with annual revenues of $5M to $120M over 11 years. In addition, he was instrumental in raising the initial capital and completing several sales transactions of the company during his tenure. David has a Masters from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
