The Sexual Recovery Institute is the nation’s premier  treatment program for men and women struggling with relationship, love addiction, and sexual addiction. We offer confidential, affordable and gender-specific programs that encourage healthy sexuality and intimacy.

Founded in 1995 by Robert Weiss, LCSW, CSAT-S, an internationally known author, sex addiction specialist and educator, the institute is based in Los Angeles, California. Among the most common struggles our clients face are:

Treatment at the Sexual Recovery Institute begins with a comprehensive assessment conducted by a therapist. Taking into account each client’s life, relationship and sexual history, we create a personalized treatment plan that addresses all of the issues underlying the client’s sexual acting out. Intensive Sex Addiction Treatment Programs

Our five-day and two-week intensive programs provide education, therapy and support at a fraction of the cost of residential sex addiction treatment. While living in a local supervised recovery home or making other housing arrangements, clients meet five days per week for 6-8 hours a day. During this time, clients work to eliminate sexual acting out and develop the tools to guard against relapse.

Individual Sex Addiction Treatment

Individual therapy facilitates personal growth through honest evaluation of the client’s emotions and experiences. Within the structure and security of the therapeutic relationship, clients can openly explore the issues underlying their relationship and intimacy problems. Our experienced sex addiction specialists help forge a roadmap for change and hold the client accountable to the plan.

Group Sex Addiction Treatment

Group therapy is one of the most effective treatments for sex and love addiction. It allows clients to come out of the shadows and recognize that others are struggling with similar issues. With guidance from a sex addiction specialist, a small group of 6-7 members discuss their concerns and receive constructive feedback as they work toward healthy interdependence.

We also offer a specialized group that provides education and support to spouses, partners or loved ones of someone struggling with love or sex addiction.

Couples Sex Addiction Treatment

The Sexual Recovery Institute offers counseling to couples affected by love and sex addiction. Whether the couple is staying together, separating or in the process of making these difficult decisions, our specialists are available to educate, direct and support them through the process.
