On June 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Weiss will host a workshop titled, “Understanding the Treatment of Sexual Addiction in the Age of Digital Media.” This presentation will explore the effects of online porn, webcams and virtual sexuality on human relationships along with the challenges these technologies pose for people with sex and intimacy disorders and their spouses and partners. Attendees will also gain insight into the history and issues surrounding human sex, dating, parenting and relationships and the “new” meanings of words like relationship, infidelity and personal privacy.

On June 22, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., Weiss will deliver the keynote address on “Sex Addiction vs. Sex Offending: Understanding the Disorders.” This talk will describe some of the misconceptions and prejudices surrounding sexual offending (online and in vivo) along with guidelines for effective treatment strategies.
