Promises Treatment Centers® and The Promises Foundation Honor Recovery Month With 12th Annual Polo in the Palisades Event

For the 12th year, The Promises Foundation presents its annual Polo in the Palisades charity polo match. The event benefits Miriam’s House, a transitional recovery home for low-income women and their children.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 29, 2017 — The Promises Foundation is privileged to honor the work of Michelle Heymann, Options for Recovery and Ed Storti on Sept. 9 at the 12th annual Polo in the Palisades event at Will Rogers State Historic Park in Pacific Palisades, California.

The annual fundraiser benefits the work of Miriam’s House, a transitional living home that provides a one-year program of recovery services, parenting and educational opportunities for low-income mothers and their children affected by substance abuse and behavioral health issues. Polo in the Palisades, which will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., brings together friends and leaders in the entertainment, business, legal and recovery communities to support Miriam’s House in the reunification of mothers and their children. Peter James Meyers, communication consultant and CEO of the Stand & Deliver Group, will emcee the event.

This year’s honorees are being recognized for their devotion to helping people in need:

“We thank our sponsors for their continued generosity in support of Miriam’s House, which transforms the lives of mothers in recovery by helping them gain job skills and training, further their education and secure independent housing,” said Chris Karkenny, chief executive officer of Elements Behavioral Health. “Putting mothers on the path to success keeps families together and we’re incredibly proud that the Promises Foundation can play a part in this important work.”

“We are grateful for the opportunity to bring our community together to celebrate the outstanding work of this year’s honorees,” said Patricia Meyers, executive director of alumni and client services for Promises Treatment Centers, and event chairwoman and Promises Foundation board member. “The love and support our sponsors have shown for the women and children of Miriam’s House brings tears to my eyes as we work together to break the cycle of addiction and bring children back into the arms of their loving, recovering mothers.”

Polo in the Palisades will be at 1501 Will Rogers State Park Road, Pacific Palisades, California, 90272. Tickets are $250 per person, with table sponsorships starting at $2,500. Donations are tax deductible. With the generous support of attendees, The Promises Foundation can make a difference in the lives of 15 families. To purchase tickets, visit The Promises Foundation website or call (310) 390-3700.
